Between the community and public sector

With the wealth of expertise in ground-breaking sustainable waste management solutions within the community sector, it is easy to see the benefits of public and community sector partnerships delivering added value services to the local community.

Often community groups provide services in an unofficial capacity for many years but with the support of their local authority these services can be delivered to a wider percentage of the population.

This section gives links to information on the advantages and opportunities, training available, support and advice, growing, maintaining or ending a partnership, procurement, tenders and contracts, funding, finance, legislation, responsibilities and types of partnership that may be appropriate to community organisations and local authorities working, or wishing to work in partnership.
